Dataset description

The data set represents materials and processes utilized in the production phase of wind power generation. It includes the manufacturing of 1.5 MW wind turbines, substations, and cables for wind farms. This infrastructure is specifically used in the generation of renewable energy within wind farms, and in this dataset, it focuses on a case study from a wind farm located in the northeast of Inner Mongolia, which has the highest concentration of wind power installations in China.

Geographic context

The data regarding the parameters of wind power has been collected from Wang (2012). A wind farm equipped with 33 domestic 1.5 megawatts (MW) wind turbines is regarded as a case study to analyze the environmental impact and its substitution effects. The wind farm is located in the northeast of Inner Mongolia, the province in which most of China’s wind power is installed (Xia and Song, 2017).
