Dataset description

The process of melting and casting aluminum ingots

Technology description

Aluminum ingot casting is the final solidification and shaping process after electrolytic aluminum production. It involves the transportation of raw aluminum liquid, degassing, descaling, refining, mold pouring, cooling, demolding, and packaging. The aim of this process is to convert the high-temperature raw aluminum liquid into aluminum ingots that meet standard dimensions and composition requirements, making them easier to store, transport, and for subsequent processing. During the process, auxiliary materials such as demolding agents and fluxes are usually added, and energy sources such as electricity or natural gas are consumed.
